This combination of DL385 High Performance Server with 64 cores and dual RTX8000 cards is suitable for rendering and visualisation tasks and is equally well-suited to AI specific tasks. Due to the high 96GB GPU RAM this card is also perfect for virtualising the heavy requirements of engineers, architects and design professionals.

This AMD-based server features the latest high performance EPYC processors with 64 cores at 2.3GHZ. The server includes 512GB RAM and dual 1.6TB SAS SSDs with a 12GBPS transfer rate. The dual 1600W power supplies are required to support the dual high performance NVidia RTX8000 48 GB GPU cards. The server also includes 4 * 1GBE and dual 10GBE network ports.

Nvidia's RTX8000 is the most powerful RTX card available with 4608 CUDA cores, 576 AI specific Tensor cores and 72 RTX ray tracing cores. Each RTX8000 card has 4 displayports capable for supporting 4K displays. There is also a VR specific Virtual Link Port

The dual RTX8000 GPU cards may be linked to provide 9216 CUDA compute cores, 1152 Tensor cores and 144 RTX cores. The cards are supported under VMWare ESXi and Nvidia vComputeServer allowing for full virtualisation on this resource across multiple virtual machines and containers.


Expandability
RAM is easily expanded to 2TB or 4TB (with LRDIMMs) and the server can be expanded with an additional 8 drive bays (14 bays available / 16 bays total) or M.2 NVME storage. We recommend SAS SSDs. There are connectivity options for Infiniband 100GBE and Omnipath available.

Software Stack
The RTX8000 GPUs are supported widely by visualisation, CAD and 3D vendors. When implemented as a VDI solution many of these applications run significantly faster than dedicated professional workstations. Ask us about Nvidia VDWS.

For AI, we recommend Nvidia's software framework and containers. We can provide this server with bare metal installation of Linux, docker (or alternative) and containers or as a virtualised solution under VMWare ESXi and vComputeServer (separate licensing costs apply).

Warranty
This server is covered by a HP Enterprise 3 year warranty with 4 hour response to site 24 * 7.
The Nvidia RTX8000 cards are also covered by a 3 year warranty.
